Artist Gail Mazourek has developed a wide ranging number of designs in
various media and subjects to help turn your home decor from ordinary into the extraordinary. Her hand-crafted art has an
inspiring beauty that draws from a variety of influences, including farm influence, historical references, and natural
elements. Can you imagine a farmer telling a joke, saying that if someone found a use for the hundreds of rocks that turn
up in fields of crops every year they would be rich. Rich may not have been the right word ( I assure you!) but using
rocks for many painted animals and signs and decorations would have pleased that farmer.!
Gail started
painting to keep a promise to her late son that she would paint for him. She kept that promise and it became her own
therapy as she painted and the items sold. The proceeds were used to create the Rudolf Mazourek Scholarship which is
awarded yearly at Alfred College, Alfred, NY. The annual $500 scholarship is awarded to a deserving and qualifying student
in Auto Body, Mechankcs, Motor Cross Studies, Diesel , anything in that line. Her son Rudy graduated from that line
of study at Alfred in 1998, just 2 years before he died. The scholarship honors his accomplishments and his memory.
